Hi Susan, You explain that these rings typically shrink by 1 size during assembly. I have 3 questions if I may ask, please: 1) Is the shrinkage on account of the number of times the ends of the wire are wrapped around the shank during the finishing stages with 20G wire? 2) Is it due to the ring mandrel's conical shape which requires the maker to size up by one number and secretly hope the concept of average band diameters above and below the center stone make it a near-accurate fit? 3) Considering the 1 size shrinkage with 20G wire, how much upsize should be considered for 18G and 22G wire? Thank you for the smart and creative videos! Extra credit test question (j/k): How much upsize allowance would be needed if the end of the wire was wrapped around the entire grouping of shank wires?

I made two pairs of these earrings. The first pair resembled the ones you made, albeit just a wee bit rough looking. The second pair I made I totally forgot to do the sweep thing with the wire, but my wrapping was a little better. I consider that a fair trade off! They still look pretty, and they will definitely be worn! Thank you for such a wonderful video. 🥰

You never use regular cutters to cut memory wire..unless you want to totally ruin your cutters and why wouldn't you pre-measure your memory wire before cutting so you do not waste the wire ? Also you are going to ruin the cutter in the One Step Looper using memory wire, way better to make the loop with round nose pliers. I guess when the company is paying for your tools and wire unlike us the consumer you tend not to care what you waste or ruin. You girls Never measure anything, horrible examples. Also great shots of your hands, horrible shots of your jewelry project.

Why are you not using or suggesting the bead spinner? Yes.. you need to use a much higher magnification for closeups; I was not able to see it the direction you talked about on memory wire. Nice idea!

It's hard to see what you are doing. We need more close-ups. When explaining which direction you are talking about, I think it would be helpful to put the earring down and point to the place. The earrings look lovely.
